Hope Channel International has recently invited Vyacheslav Demyan to assume the role of vice president of programming. Demyan will lead the strategic development, production, acquisition and broadcast of Hope Channel International’s television programs.
“We are excited Vyacheslav has been invited to join our Hope Channel International team as vice president of programming. He has served with distinction as General Director of Hope Media Group Ukraine, and we believe God will use him to provide gifted leadership to our global evangelistic media network,” shared Derek Morris, president of Hope Channel International.
Demyan began his career at Hope Channel Ukraine in December 2008 as the channel’s manager. Within 11 months he was invited to serve as Director of Hope Channel Ukraine and shortly thereafter, appointed as the General Director of Hope Media Group Ukraine. Hope Media Group Ukraine is comprised of Hope Channel Ukraine, Voice of Hope, Bible School, and the union’s communication department.
“I believe that Hope Channel is an evangelistic campaign running 24/7,” Demyan recently shared. “God has a vision for Hope Channel, and our role is to listen to Him to join in with what He is already doing to fulfill His vision,” Demyan shared. “I hope that by God’s grace my contribution at Hope Channel International will help in the development of this ministry.”
Currently, as General Director of Hope Media Group Ukraine, Demyan provides leadership to the various media outlet’s directors to oversee the fulfillment of the organization's evangelistic mission and strategic goals.
“Television, radio and social media ministries are great tools in order to reach millions, passing through the walls of houses. But the greater challenge is to pass through the walls of preconceptions. It challenges us to rethink our language and overall approach,” said Demyan.
Hope Channel Ukraine began operating in 2008 with six members on staff and two regularly airing programs. In 2017, under Demyan’s leadership, Hope Channel Ukraine became the most popular Christian channel in the country. Today, Hope Channel Ukraine has more than 25 regularly airing programs.
“Vyacheslav Demyan’s rich experience in the development of Hope Channel Ukraine, combined with his leadership to a group of creative producers, will be a great asset for Hope Channel International in this important area,” shared Hope Channel International’s Board Chair, Guillermo E. Biaggi, a general vice president of the world church.
As vice president of programming, Demyan will also serve as the executive producer for Hope Channel International produced programs and will guide the on-going development and implementation of Hope Channel’s program philosophy.
